Tybee Island – Janet A. Stanford, 52, of Tybee, wife of Walter L. Stanford, Sr., died Saturday, October 13, 2012, at her home.
A native of Richmond, VA, Janet had lived on Tybee for the past fourteen years. She was an employee of the Sunrise Restaurant where she thoroughly enjoyed her work. She particularly enjoyed meeting new people. Once you met her she was your friend.
Surviving other than her husband are two step-sons and two step-daughters. She was predeceased by her parents.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Greenwich Cemetery with Samuel Adams, Psalmist, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Coastal Pet Rescue, P.O. Box 30462, Savannah, GA 31410.
